The Look Again™ clothing line was created by students and faculty and Cazenovia College in 2005. The line uses recycled fabrics and used garments and converts them into new, fashionable pieces. The line was then sold in the local consignment shop known as The Key, in Cazenovia, NY. As a student I learned how to problem solve, work with limited resources, new embellishing techniques and being innovative.

This evening gown and coat were inspired by the image of seashells on the beach. I used this inspiration to literally embellish the dress neckline and back with seashells, and embroider the coat with shell like pockets and wave details on the hood. The silk chiffon I used for the bottom part of the dress has a brown swirled design printed on it which reminded me of sand.

Smooth Sailing Suit

This outfit was designed with Donna Karan's collection in mind. I used the images of sailboats with their delicate appearance, but overexaggerated shape. It is a three-piece business suit that features palazzo pants, a double-layer draped top and a dramatic cape.

Twister Dress

This dress was inspired by the classic board game of Twister. The dress features a linen halter top bodice with a black denim waistband and a white brushed twill skirt. Each of the polka dots seen on the skirt of the dress are individually adhered using wonder-under and then machine stitched on.

Engineered Print Childrens Dress

This dress is made of cotton broadcloth that was printed on. The print of the dress was designed by myself using photoshop over a digitized pattern. Once the print was complete, the file was printed on the fabric using a specialized plotter with colorlasting ink. The design of the print was inspired by little girl ballerinas.
